Well not much to add from last week. The jam session was wonderfull. The next day went into Colo.springs and met with my 2nd cuzin for lunch and we had a good visit. Then last thurs went into Florence and had lunch with another cuz, and then without notice it was sunday again. It was a very good sermon and the potluck after was really good with alot of homemade stuff. Later that same day the jam session was on again. Played from the back of the song book so got to hear different songs.
My house is still waiting for its upgrades, it takes time to price stuff and turn in the estament and such so My cuzins are not too tired of me yet, I hope. Its been 2 weeks tomorrow that this all started, some days it seems longer and some days it doesn't. Some of the songs remind me of Garry singing with my cuzins and that makes me sad that he's not here to join in.
Started a good fire in the wood burner and makes it nice and cozy.
We had some snow last thursday afternoon and evening, about a couple inches. It was really pretty coming down and being in a nice warm place. the sun came out fri. and melted about half of it, but didn't want to even get out with the windchill factor. Just laid around and did some research on Genealogy online. It was the first time doing it on my own computer. I get a 2 week free trial before joining so I will see how the next 2 weeks goes. Almost sure I will join to get information on family stuff and research back as far as possible.
I'll quiet babbling and let you know later of the progress of my house

update on my house

Well I'm still in familys spare room and doing good. Went to church this morning and the sermon was very good.
About my house= Called the insurance and also talked to the RV place and like I said its not good..... The 110 is blown.... Which I have learned that even if the electrical appliances were not turned on, it send a serge through it anyway.. So we are looking at everything replaced. TV's, microwave, toaster oven, dvd/vcr recorder, printer. They will be working on it for about 2 weeks to get everything ordered and put into the unit. Have been taking trips back to get stuff out that I need. Maybe even the frig. It works on propane and batt but not sure if they can fix the electrical part, so that hasn't been checked out yet. I liked things the way it was but will have to get used to different stuff and how it works.
well people are starting to come over, family and church family are going to be jamming so will close for now.

NM to CO

The last few days in NM. was really nice. My aunt and I went out to White Sands Missle Range Musium and exhibit of the missles. It was a ways out there but very enjoyable.
Left Alamogordo and headed north and stayed in Las Vegas NM over nite. Didn't get as early a start as I wanted to, so didn't get as far as planned.
Left Las Vegas and headed north and pulled over for a break. Saw a rig with the same State license and started to ask what town they were from, but they were from the state of CO. and after talking a little while discovered that they knew my cuzin, even went to school together and knew the siblings. What a small world we live in...... Happy St. Pattys day...Got to forance CO. about 4:30...... Started plugging in and we had sparks and all kinds of things happening. Tried to reset things and nothing....so shut things down and just visited awhile and would think about it the next day, didn't sleep to well with thoughts of my house.. This morning (18th)I checked all the plug in, outlets, cords and anything I could think of that might have caused my prob. ....everything was good with no shortages there... Opened the fuse box and no fuses were blown but saw my 30 amp blown, so no conversion. no power. Called the RV place in Canyon City and they could look at it today..(its not their busy season till middle of apr.) so that was to my advantage....they started with the routine stuff to check out what I experienced and there outcome was NOT good.... So next step called the insurance and waiting for an adjuster to asses what the RV people discovered and see where I go from here.....
Luckely I have family to stay with that have a spare room for me to sleep...and a place that I trust to fix my house. Hopefully it won't take too long to get everything going like it should... so I was just grabbing stuff to get me through the nite... Its not to far there to get more later if I need.
I do have some good news, today. I received a pkgs from my daughter that contained goodies to munch on. It was my birthday so the pkg came with a sugar cookie that looked like a B-day cake.
Remember to keep a stiff upper lip and everything happens for a reason, we may not know why at the time or ever. There's always someone out there thats worse off then you.... just heard yesterday a cuzin had twins and lost one within an hour of her birth..Now thats something to worry about or be sad about.
Will be sure to keep you posted of my adventures, by for now.

out of AZ in NM.

Well like I said in my last blog I'm not in AZ anymore. I am in Alamogordo, NM. visiting friends and Great Aunt on my fathers side.
I decided to take it slow in my trek to NM. I stopped by the Colossal Caves and went on a tour that was about 45 min. and the guide had some funny things to say as well. Had to get my 51 cent souvenior. The smashed penny. there were a class of about 8 or 9 year olds and they thought that I should get them all one too. There were about 25 kids and I didn't have enough cash on me or I might have done it.
Went to a campground down the road that was booked then just a little farther they had a site at another campground for me. the next day went east on hwy 10 and into NM. Still taking it slow and needed some more time to myself. Stopped just after the the state line and stayed another nite. The next day I arrived at my destanation early afternoon. The altatude is 4345 feet so that explanes why my walk was a little slower the second mile. my system isn't used to it. So thinking that a nap a day might get me through. while getting used to the lack of oxigen for my lungs.
My aunt is 87 and doing good. This morning I went with her to her every fri. bowling league with other seniors. It was fun cheering them on. I hope I can be as active when I'm her age. Also a trip to shop and have lunch. After lunch we both took a nap, my lasted longer than I had planned.
Will get back to you all when I have some interesting things to say or places I might go to. Till then Keep your hearts open to possitive things, don't forget to change you clocks. this weekend.

still getting r done

Well its been awhile, I have been getting R done. So much that I had to start a new list cuz the old list was getting too marked up. Now thats good for me. ..... Picked up the owners of the place I have been staying the 24th. They have helped me get some other stuff done before leaving. Went on a nice 4 runner ride on sat. morning that let us find some old indian pottery, and some awsome rocks with alot of vains of color running through them. Looking for the pottery and rocks It was so amazing to find life in the desert with such little tinny blossoms that you had to bend down to see them. the desert is all in bloom and in another week it will be even more colorfull. We also got in some target shooting which is getting me used to my companians.
Went to Breakfast at the VFW in AJ, AZ it was pretting good.. then had stops the get our other adgenda's done. got some cleaning stuff for my companions and while there received a call from my daughter that My grandsons Daddy is home and having to get reaquanted. Mom got to have some time alone to get personal stuff done without having to deal with a 2 year old along the way.....
Well the next blog with be coming from another state and I will let you know where and when, when I blog next time.....
It has really been a great Feb. got alot done and time to relax and think about my route in the coming months. I will be going into some states that I have never been to. especially without Garry. I want to thank my friend/classmate and husband for trusting me with their prize Kitty's and their house for 2 weeks, and also taking me around and intertaning me while they were home. They also helped with some of the things that was on my list. Still have things to do but the list is somewhat smaller than when I started a month ago. By the way I did get my photo taken and papers filled out and turned in for my passport. They said it would take 3 to 4 weeks to receive it in the mail.
Well I better close and get a good nights sleep for going on the road tomorrow. Till the next time, slow down and look for the littlest bloom in your area, hou will be amazed!!!!!!!
