more adventures

While in Hemet CA. The boys and I went to a couple parks and went to see the movie 'The Karate Kid' it was done very good, it didn't take away from the original so that was good.. Same story line. My aunt volunteers at the local library in the genealogy section. The boys got to play games on the computers. I don't let them play online with games. ( mean Grandma). We went swimming on the hot days. I finally got in an it was so nice to relax. Found a Dino museum, they got to make a mold of a creature's claw. We left there the 14th. We then headed east to AZ. didn't see any family or friends but stayed at a nice campground, in fact it was so nice we stayed 2 nites. The pool was big and hardly anyone there. Got some laundry caught up. and long showers. Our motorhome showers are quick and conserving of the water.
We got into NM. on the17th and stopped to see an aunt and friends of the family for years. It was got there too. Sure glad we have air conditioning. Went bowling with my 88yr old aunt. We did have to be at the other end of the senior bowlers. The next day we went to white Sands, If you have never been, you should see it. I wouldn't go in the summer, its way too hot, at least that day was 106 and no shade. We rented round sleds for the boys to slide down the dunes. needed alot to water. Went to the gift shop. have been trying to get at least one thing from every state we go in, for the boy to remember. White sands was some sand that was still in the pockets of there pants and a dream catcher. It was so hot that we checked out the the AF base pool to cool off. They had a good time, slides, diving boards and other kids to connect with. That day was full day, with sand, water and then took in a movie 'Toy Story 3 in 3D. Its was cute. The boys kept asking how many miles till we get to their Dads and I was only checkin on one travel day at a time.
We left Alamogordo, NM. and headed to KS, got to go through a bit of TX, and OK before entering the family in the southern part of KS. We stayed a couple nites. They are busy with harvest this time of year, so didn't want to hold up farm progress. But the boys and I got to ride on a COMBINE, They were doing wheat. Got to push buttons, and check gages, we went a whole 2.2 miles per hour. Very interesting with the way they check the temp, and it so techie for farm equipment. My cuzzin showed them how to make gum from just cut wheat. They got tired of chewing and finally swallowed it. They didn't need to eat early that day. Back at the house they had a trampoline for the boys to ware off the energy and I even got on for a little while. They had neighbors come by with 2 kids about their age so that was good too. They may be getting tired of grandma 24/7. My cuzzin didn't get done that day till 1 am, that's the farmers life. The boy got to ride along the next day and they caught a jack rabbit and ask if they could bring it with. Sure!! The next morning before leaving, found out that during the nite, he escaped so not jack rabbit to take to Dads.
We left there and headed to their Dads and got there about the same day and just before he got off work. Alot of hugs and big smiles have been happening sense we got here. They have a pool in the little town they live so that is nice. I even went of the high dive and just discovered that I hit so hard on my u no what has a bruise.. about the size of my hand. They ask when I came up if I was OK. sure. Well that about all for now. Have plans to go and do different things the rest of the summer here, will try to keep you posted. Hope all will have a great 4th. We plan to. Happy Independence Day!!!!!!! Thank our VETS when you see them. till later C

3 of us now

I was in the high desert when the heat got up to 100 degrees. Trying to keep cool. My sister n law picked up a mister fan from Lowes. It works great, need to take the glasses off so I won't have to look through the water spots though.
I picked up the grandsons the 3rd and they have been a joy. They have gotten to ride a 4 wheeler, bikes, play pool, packman and air hocky. slept in different places every night while we were there. Went to a tiger preserve. It was a hot day and felt sorry for the tigers and other animals. They just hadn't put up the misters or sprinklers the last couple of days cuz the weather just started getting really hot . They also had other animals like lion, turtles, tortose, bobcats, horses, a deer, macaws, snakes. Its was really good to see them, hadn't expected a preserve in the middle of the high desert. Go figure.
This morning got the motorhome ready and hooked up the my like new Kar Kaddy and even a newely washed car. There wasn't any much traffic on our way to Hemet. Got there about an hour earlier than expected. My uncle helped me get backed in and hooked up. My aunt and uncle have a pool. So thats where we spent the next 3 hours. It was fun and I felt like goin in with the heat, but refrained for today. Maybe tomorrow. My uncle went to a meeting and we watched cartoon network till it was time to come out to the motorhome and watch more cartoons. Some of them are cute and some are really stupid.
Hope all is enjoying their summer if its not too hot. Some schools still have a few day left. Doin fine and hope all is doin the same. Well till my next blog. C
